Free Mac checkup with Beacon!

Due to the spread of the coronavirus, Ask Adam is providing all support remotely. As a service to our neighbors in this difficult time, we are offering free remote checkups for Macs using our proactive diagnostic service, Beacon.

Enter your name and email address below to download Beacon. When you install Beacon on your Mac, Ask Adam will receive a diagnostic report. Within 48 hours, Ask Adam will email you a copy of the report along with a written evaluation including our advice about any issues we detect.

If you have specific questions or concerns, feel free to drop us a line: [email protected].

How to install Beacon

Once you’ve downloaded Beacon, check your downloads for an installer package whose name starts with “Beacon”, and double click on it, then follow the prompts to install Beacon. Once it’s installed, you’ll see the Beacon icon in your menu bar, and we will receive a diagnostic report. We’ll send you our recommendations as soon as we can!

Beacon does not give us direct access to your Mac, and it doesn’t send us any personal information. We take privacy very seriously. For more info see our Beacon privacy statement.
